not well...<div>In fact, she hasn't been well since before Chinese New Year...</div><div>Which means she hasn't been well since a little more than a month ago...</div><div>First, I thought that she was just acting up, as she urinated in small patches whenever I leave the house...</div><div>But one morning, I felt that her body temperature was kinda high and she refused to eat...</div><div>So, I fed her coconut juice in order to cool her down...</div><div>She started vomiting and had a bad case of diarrhea... </div><div>I was still reluctant to send her to the vet as I felt that it was a normal fever...</div><div>She crept under the bed at night and slept there without coming out to feed or drink...</div><div>The next morning, I called her out of the bed but she didn't respond...</div><div>Chris looked under the bed and saw that she was caked with filth and vomit, practically stuck to the floor and she looked totally lifeless!</div><div>That scared the hell out of me!</div><div>I hurriedly woke up, washed my face and took her to the vet immediately...</div><div>One look at her, and the vet immediately put her on a drip...</div><div>Apparently, she was dehydrated...</div><div>She didn't even open her eyes when she was on the way there...</div><div>After 300ml of fluids went into her, my Pretty lifted up her head...</div><div>As per the Dr Ravi, Pretty was poisoned...</div><div>After paying the vet, I was allowed to take her home...</div><div>The next morning, I brought her to the vet again...</div><div>This time, Pretty got an antibiotics for her poisoning...</div><div>Paid the vet and came home again...</div><div>Dr Ravi also suggested that we change her food to Royal Canin...</div><div>Mind you, it's expensive... </div><div>RM61 per 1kg bag!</div><div>But for Pretty's sake, we just bought the bag without any further ado...</div><div>A few days passed and Pretty got most of her strength back...</div><div>She started wagging her tail more, and was more responsive, almost like the old Pretty...</div><div>But something kept gnawing at the back of my head...</div><div>She started peeing blood...</div><div>It was real informed that she probably damaged her liver and kidneys due to the poisoning the other day...</div><div>This time, it took longer to heal her...</div><div>I had to bring her to the vet everyday for antibiotics jabs and on top of that, I had to feed her a new drug called Urinaid...</div><div>6 days later, her urine was less red than the 1st time...</div><div>She's still on Urinaid for now but another problem has surfaced...</div><div>She was down with fever again 3 days ago...</div><div>This time, there wasn't any diarrhea but she vomited a LOT!</div><div>I called the vet and he told me to keep feeding her fluids till she stopped vomiting...</div><div>Every 30 minutes I had to feed her 10ml of water using a syringe pumped into her mouth...</div><div>This time I was really worried...</div><div>Didn't really sleep for 2 nights coz I was afraid that she would be dehydrated again...</div><div>I really don't wanna go through another ordeal with the vet...</div><div>Now, 3 days later, she's getting slightly better...</div><div>She still won't eat her dog food unless I blend it for her...</div><div>Maybe she's having a toothache or something....</div><div>Now, I have to blend her dog food, add a little lukewarm water and feed her using a spoon...</div><div>But, I'm not complaining...</div><div>I love her and I would do anything just to make sure she's okay...</div><div>She's still peeing patches of blood occasionally, but I really hope she gets better soon...</div><div>Please, anyone who's reading this, please say a little prayer for finally Chinese New Year's over...<div>Yeah, I know, I know, this is waaaaaaaayyyy backdated, but I feel kinda guilty neglecting my blog...</div><div>Truth is, I was super busy in the weeks leading to Chinese New Year, that I didn't even have time to fish... :(</div><div>Parents aren't getting any younger so this year, I had to do most things by myself...</div><div>Thank goodness I have Chris around, or else I'd probably go nuts this year...</div><div>Guess what? 5am...</div><div>It was still dark when we got onto the van...</div><div>I didn't plan to drive up as it didn't make sense...</div><div>Prefer to let a driver drive us up there instead...</div><div>We picked up my friend Cheng at her house and headed off...</div><div>Along the way, we shared stories and joked around, well, she's really fun to hang out with...</div><div>I went on this trip with my I had a run of bad luck when I found out that both the soles of my sneakers were coming off! :(</div><div>Tried to look for a 7-11 to find glue, but in the end, decided to buy a pair of new sandals That huge chunk looked like a suitcase...</div><div>Now, look at our handphones...</div><div>Even the cheapest ones can fit snugly into our pocket...</div><div>20 years ago, the streets were safe for everybody...</div><div>I remember after our English tuition, me and a used-to-be very close friend of mine, used to ride our bicycles around the golf course at 10pm with nobody in sight...</div><div>Yet, we were safe...</div><div>Wow, I have grown...</div><div>Both in age and in size...</div><div>Well, size is definitely more obvious... :(</div><div>I've got lots of gray in my hair now...</div><div>I can't go without sleep for 1 whole night and then drive 60 kilometers to Penang, attend Danell's showcase, then sleep at Layleng's house for 3 hours, then travel down to KL by bus to attend another of his showcase, then travel back up to Penang, had barely any sleep, then drive Ju-Yen home and finally drive myself another 60 kilometers back to my hometown and get online to chat with my buddies anymore...</div><div>I am old!!!!!!!!!!!!</div><div>The party scene is no longer for me...</div><div>I still remember spending 20K in a month on booze back in 2002...</div><div>I barely slept...</div><div>I partied all night, and all day...</div><div>At 10pm I'll be at the Bistro Penang with my group of friends...</div><div>I even met Awie there once... Nice guy....</div><div>I drank Chivas like there's no tomorrow...</div><div>I could drink like a horse and not get drunk...</div><div>2 bottles of Chivas per night was normal for me...</div><div>I could finish 12 cans of beer in one seating....</div><div>I never treasured my life and did those things to my body...</div><div>I just kept on pushing my limits...</div><div>Yeah, I admit, I was pretty wild back then...</div><div>I still vaguely remember one night when I was totally wasted and I stopped driving by the roadside, opened my door to puke and then drive the hilly road back to my apartment in Tanjung Bungah...</div><div>I now realize that somebody up there must really love me...</div><div>Or else I wouldn't be here today...</div><div>And since realizing that fact, I decided and I did...</div><div>She's this adorable Maltese/Shih Tzu mix who we decided to call Happy...</div><div>So, please, let's welcome Ms Happy Gan to the family... :D</div><div><img :D</div><div>Decided there and then to take her home with me...</div><div>As soon as I reached home, I reached for the scissors and comb, and tried to cut off all the tangled areas...</div><div>But, it was so bad that even my scissors couldn't cut through...</div><div>Poor thing, I wonder how it could have gotten lost...</div><div>I really don't wanna imagine somebody so heartless to throw out a dog like this...</div><div>I then decided to send her to the groomers to have a nice clean shave...</div><div>They charged me 60 ringgit just for this freaking shave!!!! </div><div>She came back like this! Chairs were broken &amp; not repaired, which made it really hard for my poor papa to finish the walk...<br />3, the plants weren't properly labeled... WTF?!?!<br />Anyways, I reached Penang at about 10.30am...<br />Was trapped in a slight jam on the bridge...<br /><img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c41/cuddlykitten_77/Blogspot/DSC04605-1.jpg" /><br />Looked over to the island and saw that it was really hazy...<br />You can't even see Komtar clearly...<br />Gosh, the haze is really bad...<br />Hmm, makes me glad that I'm no longer living in Penang... It's hidden behind some pillars... Hehe<br />Anyways, we had quite a good catch today...<br />We then went shopping &amp; sent my friend back home...<br />I wanted to rest early as I was planning to make dumplings tomorrow but I was worried that the fishes won't stay in the tank...<br />So, I decided to clean up a few of the bigger fishes for consumption...<br /><img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c41/cuddlykitten_77/Blogspot/DSC04498.jpg" /><br />6 snake head fishes in a 4 gallon pail...<br />I didn't use any markers this time coz they weren't exceptionally big...<br />Just a little over a foot each...<br />I tell you, it's no easy work to clean these fishes...<br />First of all, they're super slippery...<br />And their scales are really close to their skin, so it makes scaling very very hard...<br />The scariest part of all is that these fishes take forever to die...<br />The only way to kill it is to put salt in an dry pail &amp; happy to report that he's already out of the hospital now...<br />In fact, he's been out for more than a week...<br />Today, he's a healthy 2.8kgs baby...<br />Since I was sick for the past week, I We look so happy!<br />We went fishing at about errr, 5pm, and finished at about 8...<br />Today, we got a good catch... 16 fishes in total...<br />And I caught the most! Why can't anything be done? They are out there every weekend &amp; they're a huge menace to society... Why can't the police perform roadblocks &amp; catch these people? Their timing is always at about 3am onwards, &amp; they have very good informers who will disperse the gang of mat rempits, should there be a roadblock or a police patrol car passing by... Try sleeping and being rudely awakened at 3am just to listen to these stupid people roaring their cheap engines! Please, do something about it for us to get a good night's sleep! Heehee...<br />Anyways, what did we do on Friday, let me see?<br />Oh yeah, we went to my cousin brother's house &amp; then we went fishing...<br />Yippeeeeeeeeeee!!! I miss the feel of the rod in my hands...<br />Really love fishing to that extreme...<br />We got quite a number of fishes, including a huge Puyu fish which I haven't even seen before... The day I was waiting for...<br />The day that I was gonna meet Danell after his name-change...<br />Woke up kinda early as I had to send Mama to the hairdresser...<br />Then came home &amp; got ready for the event...<br />We reached Alor Star Mall @ about 2.20pm....<br />Surprisingly, not many people were gathering around the stage area...<br />Maybe coz there was nothing on the stage that indicated Danell was perfoming that evening...<br />I mean, they didn't even put his music on...<br />WTF la these people!<br />Should have just played his music to gather more people around... Swan arriving with the KL gang...<br /><img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c41/cuddlykitten_77/Blogspot/DSC03033.jpg" /><br />The stage where I was standing...<br />They only put it up @ about 3pm I guess...<br /><img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c41/cuddlykitten_77/Blogspot/DSC03035.jpg" /><br />Danell arriving @ about 3.30pm...<br />Half an hour later than planned...<br /><img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c41/cuddlykitten_77/Blogspot/DSC03039.jpg" /><br />Well, there's a huge difference in his vocals...<br />Very very strong, compared to the earlier days...<br />His interaction with the crowd was fabulous...<br />There's a huge change in him which I cant quite put my finger on...<br />A change for the better, I'd say...<br />Love the fact that he was a better, stronger, even more good looking Danell Lee...<br />There wasn't a huge crowd that day...<br />Probably due to the fact that it was a Saturday...<br />Also maybe the lack of exposure by Alor Star Mall... Damn!<br />Hopefully he fares better in other locations...<br /><img src="http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c41/cuddlykitten_77/Blogspot/DSC03042.jpg" /><br />Danell sharing a light side with the emcee...<br />That was after Danell sang My Aspiration...<br />After that, there were games...<br />A pair of Xanna glasses was up for grabs...<br />And yours truly was chosen to go on stage, that's why no photos to share...<br />Sad to say, I didn't win the glasses...<br />I kinda froze on stage...<br />Maklumlah, ask me to sing in Mandarin on stage wor...<br />Hello, Danell, I'm a banana lehhhhhhhhhhhh....<br />Next time choose an English or Malay song as a favour to me la... Ish...<br />After that, Danell sang 2 more songs &amp; then we moved on to the album signing...<br />As there were only few people lining up, we got our pictures taken with him as well...
