Trip To Cameron Highlands Part 1

I've been back for a couple of days, but I have so many lovely pictures that it was so hard for me to choose the ones for my blog...
There will be lots of pictures in this entry, so, bear with me and take your time reading...
As it is already late here, I will separate into a few entries till I finish the entire collection...

So, we left Alor Star at 5am...
It was still dark when we got onto the van...
I didn't plan to drive up as it didn't make sense...
Prefer to let a driver drive us up there instead...
We picked up my friend Cheng at her house and headed off...
Along the way, we shared stories and joked around, well, she's really fun to hang out with...
I went on this trip with my B, my parents and my aunt...

The first view of sunrise, captured by my B from the front seat of the van...
So lovely!
We stopped at Ipoh around 9am, had breakfast at a wonderful restaurant that served handmade steamed buns which tasted great!
But, I had a run of bad luck when I found out that both the soles of my sneakers were coming off! :(
Tried to look for a 7-11 to find glue, but in the end, decided to buy a pair of new sandals instead... :)

1st place we stopped at as soon as we reached...
A lovely vegetable and strawberries farm...
They even have passion fruits growing over our heads...

Rows of strawberries were lined neatly on our right...
See how neat they are?
For RM30 a kilo, you can also pluck them yourselves!
We didn't as we felt that it was too early and we wanted to wait till the last stop to buy strawberries...

Check out the broccoli!
Isn't it just so lovely???
They have rows of these along the right while we walked in...
Made me really really tempted to pluck them right there and then...

Rows of mustard greens (Sawi)
They were about 2 feet high, I tell you!
And my friend told me that it's very sweet, unlike the ones we get at our markets...

And oh, the tomatoes!
They are so beautiful!!!!

And here we have the Cameron apples...
Mind you, they don't taste even remotely like apples...
To me, they taste more like honeydew melons...
These apples are sold for RM5 per kilo, which my mum bought...
Still have 1 in my fridge... :D

Just see how perfect this cauliflower is!
I didn't buy any as I felt that it isn't that much different from our cauliflowers back home... :p

Some of the orchids on sale...
Love the 1 in the middle...

Some lovely flowers at the side...
Don't know the name of these flowers, but if I were to name them, I'd call them Cobra flowers...
Don't they look like cobras with their mouths opened and the 2 fangs???

Next, we stopped by the Tea Shop...
It wasn't anything special, but it was worth a visit if you wanna pay RM4 for a glass of iced tea... :p
A picture of my papa and mama at the Tea Shop...
That's the entrance to the tea plantation...
Isn't the arch just so beautiful?!?!?!?!?!

Me & my B at the arch...

Some trumpet flowers...
They have these in white too!
It was chilly, but the sun was really warm, so we didn't even need any jackets...
Hmm, I guess that's it for now...
It's really getting late and I'm still very, very tired...
So, I'll be back with more entries, hopefully tomorrow...
Till then, cuddles...
