New Year's!

Sorry but this entry is kinda backdated...
Should have posted this entry before the Gunung Keriang one, huh?
Anyways, I had a really lovely New Year's Eve with my B and my best friend Cheng...
Wanna know what we did?
Read on...

Well, as most of my friends know, I love fishing...
I can fish from sunrise to sunset if I can...
I've always loved fishing...
In fact, I love both seawater and freshwater fishing...
I started fishing back in 1995...
We used to go seawater fishing by the beach, while we camp, and sometimes we even rented boats for deep water fishing...
My most unforgettable experience was when I landed six 1-foot fishes in one throw...
On 1 line that is!
It was really really great...
But, we only caught those fishes to be used as bait for bigger fishes later on...
After 2002, I guess some things changed and I stopped fishing for a while...
Only started again in 2003, when I was introduced to it by my best friend...
Now I only do pole fishing, that is a fishing rod which doesn't have a reel...
And you'd be amazed at the size of fishes that I've managed to land in the past...

Well anyways, back to the topic, I went fishing in the evening of December 31st, 2009...
It was the only thing that I truly loved to do, so the 3 of us decided to go fishing to usher in the New Year...

A snake head fish that was about 13 inches long...
Not a bad catch!

My B caught a smaller one almost immediately after I caught mine...
Hmm, fate! :P

After that, it got kinda dark so we had to leave as the mossies were attacking our legs...
So, we went for dinner and decided to go fish at another fishing spot, to wait till 12 and watch fireworks...

Didn't get any fishes but we did get some pictures... :D
My B & I...

Me and my best friend, Cheng...

The 3 of us...
We fished till almost 11pm and decided to drive to the Telekom Tower to see if there are any fireworks...
Reached Old Town and ordered Iced Mocha takeaway and we walked to a nearby bus stop to sit and watch and also to avoid the unnecessary traffic jam...
Counted to midnight, and what a disappointment, NO fireworks... :( :( :(
There were only those normal ones that were played by people, but nothing fancy...
Damn... Should have gone to Penang...
But I thought I should stay here as I was still feeling under the weather...
Oh well...
BUT, it was really really really nice to spend my new year's with my best friend and my B...
So, how did you spend your new year's?
Cuddles...
